Program Description:

The freshman year of high school is a pivotal year in the life of a student. Research has shown much correlation between the freshman year and high levels of failure and discipline rates. In this episode, the benefits of peer mentors for freshmen as they transition from middle to high school will be explored. Resources for developing or revamping a freshman mentor program will be identified.
